I realize there’s supposedly no such thing in TV as “an original idea” but I think the writers on (CBS’) “Jake and The Fatman” are carrying things a bit too far. Did they think the audience wouldn’t notice that the season opener (Sept. 12) was a take-off on the Lyle and Erik Menendez brothers’ murder case? And the second episode was a blatant rip-off of the Debra Winger movie “Black Widow,” also set in Hawaii. What’s next guys . . . “Presumed Innocent,” “Jagged Edge?”
