If you can convince Caltrans that you’ve invited enough people to have “a significant impact to the local arterial system,” you can have the agency put up temporary freeway signs for about $150 apiece. Of course, we are talking about a BIG party. South Coast Plaza’s Festival of Britain has four signs up now, on the San Diego Freeway in Costa Mesa.
