Dann Herr; Writer on Roman Catholic Issues

Dann Herr, 73, publisher of Critic magazine and chairman of the board of the Thomas More Assn. of Chicago-based laymen who foster Roman Catholic literature. Herr was born in Hudson, Ohio, and educated at Fordham and Columbia universities. Herr earned the Purple Heart and Silver Star during World War II. He wrote numerous articles and books on Catholic issues, and encouraged many new authors. On Oct. 5 in Chicago of undisclosed causes.
