Police Seeking Cabbie’s Killers
Police continued their search Saturday for a group of attackers who robbed a cab driver, shot him in the head and then dumped his body into the street near downtown Los Angeles.
The body of Stanley Kolski, 53, was found in the 500 block of Coronado Street about 5 p.m. Friday, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Alex Salazar said.
Salazar said witnesses saw the cab heading northbound on Coronado Street with two to five passengers, who appeared to be struggling with the driver.
The witnesses said they heard a shot and then saw the cab driver’s body flung from the speeding vehicle into the middle of Coronado Street.
Salazar said Kolski was declared dead at the scene from a single gunshot wound in the head.
Police recovered the taxi about three blocks away. No arrests have been made.
