LOCAL : N. Hollywood Man Gunned Down
A reputed gang member attempting to hide from three carloads of rivals was gunned down on a North Hollywood street Sunday night, Los Angeles police said.
Gerardo Jose Jimenez, 18, of North Hollywood, died after he was shot once in the upper torso as he tried to hide in the 6800 block of Gentry Avenue about 9:45 p.m., Lt. Michael Ranshaw said. Ranshaw said the fatal shot was fired from one of three passing cars carrying about 10 members of a rival gang.
“One shot, one hit, one dead,” Ranshaw said. “Very efficient.”
The three cars sped away after the shooting. No one had been arrested this morning, and police were searching for suspects.
