Pomona : Police, Fire Pacts Approved
City Police and Fire Department employees will receive a 5% pay increase, retroactive to July 1, plus lump-sum payments of at least $180 each, under agreements with employee groups approved by the Pomona City Council this week.
The agreements call for additional bonuses of $277 for those holding the rank of police officer and $347 for firefighters. In addition, the agreements provide higher uniform allowances and improved educational incentives. The new pay range for police officers and firefighters is $2,913 to $3,555 a month.
