A Gathering to Celebrate Artists’ Works

Share

A nationwide touring arts and craft marketplace, Harvest Festival, will roll onto the Ventura County Fairgrounds for three days and will feature the traditional and contemporary works of about 1,500 artists and craftsmen from around the nation. These artists were selected by a jury process from 25,000 applicants.

Patterned after 19th-Century autumn fairs, the festival will transform the fairgrounds into an old-fashioned village complete with artisans and entertainers dressed in period costume. Artist demonstrations include metal spinning, etching and pot throwing. Those attending the festival can also enjoy an assortment of culinary treats.

Entertainment during the event will include jugglers, acrobats, bluegrass, country and jazz musicians, puppeteers and storytellers.
