Smooth Lord Vies for 5th Win of Year

Smooth Lord will be looking for his fifth win of the year when he takes on Party Lobell and seven others in the $35,000 Fireball Series Final for pacing colts and geldings on the closing night Saturday at Los Alamitos.
The final evening of the summer-fall harness session at Los Alamitos also features a $12,000 Invitational Pace. Vance Lobell, an easy winner last week in 1:54 3/5, takes on familiar foes Absolute Gem, Glenburn Star, Ballroom Music and Winning Night.
