Encino Fire Damages Car Repair Shop
Fire severely damaged an automotive repair shop in Encino Thursday night, Los Angeles City Fire Department officials said.
The fire started shortly before 9 p.m. at Accent Auto Repair and Tire Co. in the 17500 block of West Ventura Boulevard, spokesman Jim Wells said.
Seven fire companies with 35 firefighters battled the blaze.
The fire was extinguished by 9:16 p.m., officials said.
Damage was estimated at $105,000, Wells said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
One firefighter injured his shoulder and his lower back, but was not hospitalized.
