THE SIDELINES : World League U.K. Tryouts Set

NEW YORK —
At least two days of tryouts for the World League of American Football will be held in London Nov. 16 and 18.
“We are hopeful that this tryout will produce some future World League stars,” said Jerry Vainisi, the league’s vice president of football management.
The league, backed by the NFL, opens March 23 and will play in seven countries.
