Hilltop 28, Montgomery 7--Hilltop’s Jorge Munoz completed 15 passes in 28 attempts for 346 yards, including touchdown passes of 33, 85, 7 and 13 yards. Teammate Bobby Lugo, who had 177 yards on six receptions, scored three touchdowns. Hilltop improved to 2-5, 1-4, Montgomery dropped to (3-5, 2-3).

Castle Park 37, Mar Vista 6--Castle Park (5-3, 3-2) took advantage of five interceptions.

Avocado League

El Camino 20, San Marcos 7--Von Robinson rushed for touchdowns of six, nine and four yards, and the defense of El Camino (4-4, 4-1) allowed just 105 yards in the second half after allowing 238 in the first. Mark Frazier rushed 21 times for 190 yards for San Marcos (5-2-1, 3-1-1).

San Pasqual 35, Escondido 21--San Pasqual rushed for 413 yards against the eighth best defense in the county and improved to 3-4-1, 2-2-1. Cullen Owen (23-111) and Billy Geddes (10-105) each scored two touchdowns. DeSalle Wallace and Mike Walters each rushed for 85 yards for San Pasqual. Escondido fell to 5-3, 3-2.

Oceanside 42, Rancho Bernardo 13--Lamar Parks carried 16 times for 121 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead Oceanside (3-4-1, 2-2-1). Brian McGehee rushed nine times for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Rancho Bernardo is 2-6, 0-5.

Palomar League

Rancho Buena Vista 35, Orange Glen 21--Markeith Ross didn’t play until the second quarter but finished the night carrying 21 times for 191 and three touchdowns to lead RBV (6-2, 5-0). Tyrone Cormier carried 15 for 95. Noel Toloumu carried 17 times for 103 yards for Orange Glen (5-3, 3-2) and Omar Navarro completed 15 for 20 for 196 yards.

Vista 14, Poway 9--Chato Jackson ran for 28 yards to score Vista’s final touchdown in the fourth quarter. Dante White also scored for Vista (3-5, 3-2) with a three-yard run in the first quarter. Poway fell to 3-4-1, 1-3-1.

City Eastern League

Mira Mesa 50, Serra 20--Robbie Edwards rushed for touchdowns of 30, 31 and one yards and scored on an 80-yard pass reception from Mike Bovee to lead Mira Mesa (7-1, 2-1). He carried 13 times for 104 yards. Wayne Pittman for two touchdowns of 60 and 12 yards, and carried 21 for 189 yards. Cookie Owens also had a 25-yard fumble return. Serra is 0-7-1, 0-2-1.

City Western League

Kearny 20, University City 7--Quarterback Sam Page scored on a one-yard run and passed to Darnay Scott for a 10-yard touchdown as Kearny improved to 6-1-1, 2-0-1 in league. The game was tied 7-7 in the third quarter before Ted Mack recovered a UC fumble in the end zone and Kearny went on to score 13 points to ice it. UC fell to 2-5, 1-2.

La Jolla 24, USDHS 23--Eric Zadeyan kicked a 42-yard field goal with 10 seconds to play to give visiting La Jolla (6-1-1, 2-0-1) its victory. USDHS (4-4, 1-1) stopped La Jolla on fourth and 18 on the game-winning drive, but a late hit penalty gave La Jolla a first down. USDHS’s Mike Hall had five catches for 112 yards and a touchdown.

City Harbor League

Marian 28, Clairemont 24--Jamarr Brown caught six passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns, one of them a 91-yarder from Beto Martinez on a fake punt. Darren Jiricek scored the winning touchdown with :31 left on 14-yard pass from Bobby Applegate.

St. Augustine 29, Christian 13--Running back John Mozerka rushed 28 times for 143 yards and scored three touchdownsfor St. Augustine (5-2-1, 2-0-1). Cornerback Nathan Jones had two interceptions for Saints. Christian dropped to 3-5, 1-1.

Nonleague

Lincoln 33, Patrick Henry 16--Lincoln had a slim 13-10 halftime lead but scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to pull ahead. Randy Walker completed five of nine passes with no interceptions for 215 yards and four touchdowns for Lincoln (2-6). Walker connected with Marvin Green for two touchdowns. Luke Lowrey completed 15 of 27 passes with three interceptions for 222 yards for Patrick Henry (4-3-1).

Mission Bay 26, Coronado 15--Marlon Gardinera rushed 17 times for 108 yards and a touchdown for Mission Bay (4-4). Coronado fell to 3-5.

El Cajon Valley 22, El Capitan 13--Kingsley Egoregua scored three touchdowns and Joe Hubarth carried 11 times for 124 yards to lead El Cajon Valley (5-3). El Capitan is 0-8.

1-A 8-Man League

Bishop’s 47, Francis Parker 0--Ryan Smith ran 14 times for 124 yards and two touchdowns for Bishop’s (7-1, 5-0). Grant Bailey of Bishop’s returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown and caught four passes for 78 yards and a touchdown.
