Valencia High School’s offense displayed textbook ball control as the Tigers stayed undefeated with a 28-7 Orange League victory over Western Friday at Handel Stadium.

Led by the backfield trio of John Fewell, Ryan Roskelly and Willie Barnes, Valencia gained 370 yards on the ground and limited the Pioneers to one possession in the second half.

Barnes and Roskelly gave the Tigers (8-0, 3-0) a 14-0 second-quarter lead on runs of 18 and eight yards. But Western (3-5, 1-2) made the score 14-7 with 17 seconds left in the first half on a five-yard pass from Gil Brito to Alfredo Villegas to cap a 10-play, 69-yard drive.
