Buena Park Handles Sonora Easily

Angel Barrios rushed for 159 yards in 15 carries and scored two touchdowns as Buena Park High School defeated Sonora, 48-7, in a Freeway League game Friday at Buena Park.

Barrios, a junior running back, scored on a 28-yard run in the first quarter, and on a 17-yard run in the second quarter for Buena Park (4-4, 2-1). Robert Starks added 84 yards in nine carries and also scored a touchdown and Dion Green gained 89 yards in five carries and scored a fourth-quarter touchdown for Buena Park.

Buena Park gained 398 yards in total yards and had 23 first downs in the game.

Buena Park quarterback Mark Medellin threw two touchdown passes to wide receiver Chris Stone.
