Quarterback Jay Macias combined with June Akiike on a 97-yard pass play with 3 minutes 27 seconds remaining to give host Schurr High a 42-35 victory over Hart in a wild Foothill League game Friday night.

The victory moved Schurr (5-3-1, 3-0 in league play) into sole possession of first place. Hart, which had won five consecutive games, is 5-3 and 2-1.

Hart got the ball back after Schurr’s bomb, but quarterback Ryan Connors fumbled to Schurr’s Ramon Trujillo on the Hart 40-yard line. Hart stopped Schurr on downs, but the Indians didn’t get the ball back until 13 seconds remained.
