Encino Woman Shot by Motorcyclist Dies
An Encino woman, who was shot by a motorcyclist last week, died over the weekend, police said Monday.
Anita Green, 42, the founding member and president of Shir Chadash-The New Reform Congregation in Encino, was shot as she drove into the parking lot of her husband’s North Hollywood business. She died at North Hollywood Medical Center.
Police have made no arrests in the shooting. Authorities said they plan to release the description of a suspect later this week. No further details about the investigation were disclosed.
Green was shot Thursday morning as she drove her Corvette into a parking lot behind her husband’s tax consulting business in the 12000 block of Oxnard Street, said Detective Mike Coffey of the Los Angeles Police Department.
A motorcyclist who had been following her for an unknown period of time shot her once before she could get out of the car. Witnesses said the gunman was riding a Suzuki racer motorcycle and wearing a helmet.
