Female vice officers posing as prostitutes arrested 30 men who tried to solicit their services early Friday morning in the 3300 block of Midway Drive, police said.
The men arrested ranged in age from 16 to 39 and included a loan officer, a teacher, nine military personnel and a doughnut store owner, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. They were issued citations and released, he said.
The sweep, which began at 8 p.m. Thursday and continued until 2 a.m. Friday, was in response to complaints from nearby merchants and residents about the increase in prostitution in the area, Robinson said.
