CBS Deserves to Lose Millions on Baseball
I recently read of CBS’ poor financial showing in regards to major league baseball. I’m not surprised. They broadcast the 1990 season like amateurs. They wanted the rewards but seemed unwilling to produce a first-class product to attain those rewards.
CBS has reaped what it has sown. The financial rewards were nonexistent, not unlike their effort. Perhaps this trend will continue and CBS will rid itself of a sport it is not capable of covering. Until then, I’ll stick with ESPN.
