Kopp’s 464 Yards, 4 Touchdowns Lead Pacific to a 41-35 Victory
Troy Kopp connected with Aaron Turner on a 41-yard touchdown pass play with 33 seconds left to lift the University of the Pacific past Portland State, 41-35, Saturday.
Kopp hit Turner with a screen pass in the left flat and Turner darted away from Portland defenders to cap a 13-point Tiger rally.
Pacific (4-5) scored the final 13 points after falling behind 35-28 midway through the fourth quarter. The Vikings are 5-5.
Kopp, ninth in the nation in passing efficiency, completed 33 of 47 passes for 464 yards and four touchdowns. It was the fourth time in the last five games that Kopp had thrown for more than 400 yards. He completed 19 passes in a row.
Curtis Delgardo of Portland State ran for 166 yards in 30 carries and scored three touchdowns.
