Sophomore quarterback Rick Odoardi and junior running back Juan Garcia led Century High School to a 15-8 victory over Laguna Beach in the Pacific Coast League finale for both Friday night at Laguna Beach.

Odoardi scored the go-ahead touchdown for the Centurions on a seven-yard run with 4 minutes 30 seconds left. He also completed eight of 14 passes for 121 yards and recovered a fumble on the Centurions’ 36-yard line to put a stop to Laguna Beach’s final drive.

Garcia was the workhorse runner for Century, a team without seniors that finished its first varsity season 4-6 and 2-3 in league. He carried 25 times for 102 yards and had a two-yard touchdown run in second quarter.
