NBA ROUNDUP : Drexler Scores 30, Portland Is Perfect at 9-0
Clyde Drexler scored 30 points, the fourth consecutive game he has had at least that many, and the Portland Trail Blazers remained the NBA’s only unbeaten team Sunday night with a 125-112 victory over the Bulls at Chicago.
Portland (9-0) equaled a club record for its best start, set in 1979, when the Trail Blazers finished the season with a losing record.
Drexler added nine assists and seven rebounds. Chicago’s Michael Jordan had 20 of his 29 points in the second half to go with seven assists and five rebounds.
Utah 103, Minnesota 94--Karl Malone scored 24 points and the Jazz ended a four-game losing streak by turning back the Timberwolves at Minneapolis.
John Stockton added 22 points for Utah, and Tyrone Corbin and Tony Campbell each scored 24 for Minnesota.
