Bryan Dameworth, who redshirted his first collegiate cross-country season at Wisconsin because of a stress fracture in his right ankle, will redshirt for the 1991 track and field season, according to Agoura Coach Bill Duley, Dameworth’s stepfather.

Duley, who guided Dameworth to four state titles in cross-country and track and to the 1989 Kinney national cross-country championship at Agoura, said that Dameworth will not start running again until February.

“(Wisconsin Coach) Martin Smith wants to make sure that Bryan doesn’t come back too quickly,” Duley said. “He’s looking two years down the line.”
