PREP SOCCER ROUNDUP : Gugler, Thurber Lead Sunny Hills to 5-0 Victory

Heidi Gugler and Stacy Thurber each had two goals to lead Sunny Hills High School to a 5-0 victory over Bishop Montgomery in a nonleague girls’ soccer game Thursday at Sunny Hills.

Thurber also had an assist and Rhonda Partida had a goal and an assist for the Lancers (2-0).

Anaheim 1, Bolsa Grande 0--Letitia Challenger scored midway through the second half for visiting Anaheim (1-0-1).

Katella 5, Rancho Alamitos 1--Wendy Fusaro scored two goals, and Carol Hipp, Cindy LeClair and Pam Schenk scored one each for host Katella (1-0).

Webb 4, Orange Lutheran 3--Aerin Stacey scored two goals, including the game winner, to lead Webb (1-0).

Santa Margarita 3, Laguna Beach 1--Jamie Braun had two goals and Siobhan Butler had one for host Santa Margarita (1-0).

Sonora 3, Valencia 1--Lisa Knott had two goals and Allison Brennan had one for Sonora (1-0). Kristina Yuseloff scored for Valencia.

Rosary 4, Fullerton 0--Jennifer Schulte and Amy Shanks each had two goals and goalkeeper Helen Baron had 10 saves for visiting Rosary (1-0-1).

Brea-Olinda 1, Kennedy 0--Elice Crowder scored in the first half for visiting Brea-Olinda (1-0).
