Authorities raided a home here Thursday where pit bulls were allegedly bred for fighting.

The occupant of the home, Sonny Clyde Miller, 47, was arrested on suspicion of possessing narcotics, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies said.

He also is suspected of training the dogs for fighting on his property, which had a garage outfitted for dog fights.

Thirty-seven dogs were seized, several with scars on the head, neck and shoulder, deputies said.
