Free agent right-hander Eric Show, 6-8 for the San Diego Padres last season, agreed to a two-year contract with the Oakland Athletics.
Show, 35, is 100-87 lifetime in 10 major league seasons, all with the Padres. His best season was in 1988, when he was 16-11 with a 3.26 ERA. Show made 12 starts and 27 relief appearances in 1990, compiling an earned-run average of 5.76.
Show made $800,000 in 1990 in the final season of a two-year deal worth $2.5 million. Terms of the agreement with the A’s were not disclosed.
