GORE’S GREATEST HITS: Every year we’re on the look-out for our favorite celebrity Top 10 list. This year’s winner? Tipper Gore, the fabled rock-labeling crusader, whose list will appear in next week’s issue of Hits magazine (along with ones from Vanilla Ice, Lou Reed, Sinead O’Connor and Nikki Sixx). As expected, Tipper’s Top 10 steers clear of rap or metal, but it does offer some surprisingly hip selections (once you get past her No. 1 album). Her Top 5? Billy Joel’s “Storm Front,” Bonnie Raitt’s “Nick of Time,” the Neville Brothers’ “Brothers Keeper,” the B-52’s “Cosmic Thing” and Living Colour’s “Time’s Up.” Hits is also mulling running a Top 10 list from David Duke, the ex-Nazi and Louisiana state representative, whose No. 1 album is from Christian metal band Stryper. His other picks include Elton John, Michael Bolton, Robert Cray, Hank Williams Sr. and (!) Queensryche.
