U.S. Joins Forces With Japan: NBC News and Nippon Television Network (NTV) of Japan, the largest private Japanese broadcast group, are entering into a news-gathering venture. NTV will become the first foreign affiliate for the NBC News Channel, an overnight news feed service to NBC affiliate stations that is due to be launched in this country in January. In exchange, NBC News will have U.S. broadcast rights to all NTV news material.
