PRO FOOTBALL REPORT : WEEKDAY UPDATE : AROUND THE NFL : Bears’ Anderson Out With Cracked Rib
The Chicago Bears have added running back Neal Anderson to their list of injured players after discovering he has a cracked rib. Anderson won’t play against Tampa Bay on Sunday and probably will be sidelined for the Bears’ final regular-season game Dec. 29 against Kansas City, according to Coach Mike Ditka. Anderson, who has rushed for 1,010 yards, also cracked a rib in September.
Anderson’s injury was diagnosed two days after Chicago’s 38-21 loss at Detroit. He joins a roster of injured Bears that includes quarterback Jim Harbaugh, linebacker Ron Rivera and tight end Cap Boso.
