Principal photography has been completed in Los Angeles on ABC’s “Earth Angel,” starring Cindy Williams, Erik Estrada, Mark Hamill and Roddy McDowall. Set to air later this season, the fantasy deals with a high school dream girl who dies in a car crash in 1962 and comes back to Earth in 1990 to help a troubled former classmate.

Richard Chamberlain recently has completed filming the CBS movie “Aftermath,” in which he plays a doctor who brings his family together after a sudden tragedy. Based on a true story, “Aftermath” is directed by Glenn Jordan (“The Promise,” “Echoes in the Darkness”).

Series

Emmy Award-winning Ted Danson of NBC’s “Cheers” has joined the board of directors of the Gleitsman Foundation, creators of the Gleitsman Award to honor “people who make a difference” in initiating social change.

Comedian Mark Pitta is the new host of Fox’s low-rated series “Totally Hidden Video,” which airs Saturdays at 8 p.m. He replaces Bill Kirchenbauer and Anne Bloom.

David Birney and Eleanor Mondale host Lifetime’s new daily series “Great American TV Poll,” which debuts March 4 at 6:30 p.m. The series will feature results of polls on an array of topics. Pollsters from Princeton Survey Research Associates will conduct the exclusive polls by speaking with hundreds of people across the country.

Fans of “The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd” will finally discover the identify of the father of her unborn child when the final season of “Molly Dodd” premieres Jan. 19 at 10:30 p.m. on Lifetime. Not only will Molly become a mother this season, she gets a new job and turns 40. Blair Brown, of course, returns as Molly.

ABC’s award-winning Saturday series “ABC Weekend Specials,” returns for its 15th season on Jan. 12, with the repeat of the first story in the trilogy, “The Mouse and the Motorcycle,” which will be shown in two parts. The third and concluding story will air in February with the premiere of the all-new “Ralph S. Mouse.”

“Trialwatch,” debuting Jan. 28 on NBC, is a new 13-week daytime magazine-style show reporting on today’s important trials and court cases. The series will include footage from trials, filmed interviews with case principals and attorneys, and in-studio guests.

Specials

CBS is repeating the Peabody- and Emmy Award-winning eight-hour miniseries, “Lonesome Dove,” Jan. 20, 22-24. Based on Larry McMurtry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about an epic cattle drive from Texas to Montana, the drama stars Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, Anjelica Huston, Danny Slover and Diane Lane.

Lifetime premieres “The Sinead O’Connor Concert Special,” Jan. 16 at 10 p.m. The one-hour concert was filmed live in Holland during her 1990 worldwide tour and features the controversial Irish singer performing such hits as “Nothing Compares 2 U” and “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got.”

MTV presents “Aerosmith Saturday,” Jan. 19 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., featuring videos, concert excerpts and interview clips with the veteran hard rockers lead by Steve Tyler.

The Nashville Network will present the Music City News Country Songwriters Awards live from the Grand Ole Opry House on April 29. Voted by the readers of the country music magazine, Music City News, the awards honor the Top 10 songs of the year and the writers of those hits.

Soaps

Maree Cheatham (Charlene) and Robert Fontaine (Frankie) will be checking out of ABC’s “General Hospital” in February. Lewis Arlt, who plays Ken Jordan, will be leaving the cast of CBS’ “Another World” the same month.

Audrey Landers, late of “Dallas,” completes her stint as Charlotte Hesser on ABC’s “One Life to Live” in January, but the show will leave the role open if Landers decides to return.

Linda Thorson, who came to fame as Tara King on “The Avengers” and plays the mother of Gabrielle Holden on “One Life to Live,” is now appearing on the soap on a recurring basis.
