Cal State Fullerton and Genia Miller broke loose in the second half for a 74-50 victory in a Big West Conference opener Wednesday night.

Miller, the Titans’ senior center, was held to four points in the first half when Fresno State packed its 2-3 zone inside and forced Fullerton to shoot outside. Miller recovered in the second half to finish with 21 points.

Forward Claudette Jackson scored 17 of her 19 points in the first half for the Titans (7-2), and Joey Ray (15 points) and Heidi James (11) hit consistently from the outside to ruin Fresno State’s strategy.
