Other Aztec Highland games:

El Cajon Valley 70, Castle Park 66--Mike Stadler had 21 points to lead El Cajon as the Braves turned a six-point first-half deficit into a two-point lead with a 20-12 third quarter. Eric Bell had 22 points and Benji Gil 21 for Castle Park.

USDHS 71, Mar Vista 43--University of San Diego High (8-2) outscored Mar Vista 30-14 in the middle two quarters to get the victory. Eric Barajas had 17 points while David Silva had 16 and Dave Withers 12. Withers also had eight rebounds.

Montgomery 70, West Hills 51--Ryan Payton scored 20 and Tom Conner and Ray Lozano added 13 apiece to lead Montgomery. Tyrone Presnillo had 10 for the host Aztecs.

Valhalla Tournament:

Valhalla 85, Coronado 65--Mike Nalu made six three-point plays in the first half and finished with 27 points to lead host Valhalla (10-5). Mark Dillon added 20 points and Julian Bonner 11. Coronado is 2-10.

Mt. Miguel 60, Mission Bay 52--Domingo Rivera had three three-point baskets and scored 19 points to lead Mt. Miguel at Valhalla. John Price had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Brian Hightower scored 12 for Mission Bay (2-8).

Santana Tournament:

Grossmont 74, Southwest 60--Jean Beauville scored 27 points to lead Grossmont (6-5) to a second-round victory in the round-robin tournament at Santana. Ryan Gregory added 14 points and 10 rebounds, Jared Larson 11 points and 11 rebounds and Mike Kingsley 13 points. Jerry Racette had 16 and Devin Patterson 13 for Southwest (7-7).

Chula Vista 80, Patrick Henry 59--Jerome Green scored 27 and Andy Duran 18 to lead Patrick Henry. John Pike led Patrick Henry (5-7) with 22 points; Marlon Franklin added 16.

Madhouse Roundup:

University City 74, Point Loma 53--Ray Hooper scored a game-high 23 points and Elliot Alexander added 13 to lead No. 9 University City (5-1) at Madison High. Justin Miller had 18 points for Point Loma (1-11).

Madison 74, Clairemont 68--Madison (5-5) got its fast break going in the second quarter, outscored Clairemont (2-3) 22-12, and held on for the victory. Clairemont’s Stanley Saballett scored all 12 of his points in the fourth quarter to keep it close, and Alex Love added 21 points. Matt Baker led Madison with 19 and Hooney Kim had 10.

Aztec Highland Tournament:

El Cajon Valley 72, USDHS 64--Heather Holm scored 30 points to lead No. 2 El Cajon Valley (12-0) over USDHS (3-5) at Montgomery High.

Montgomery 38, Madison 36--Brooke Scarborough of Montgomery had 16 points to lead the Aztecs (5-7). Seeta Brown scored 12 points for Madison (3-6).
