Hartley Puff Piece

Share

I was really quite surprised with the puff piece on council member John Hartley on Dec. 31 (“Hartley Rides Out His Baptism of Fire”).

I step out of my office (2800 El Cajon Blvd.) and see hookers getting into cars.

I go to lunch at 2200 El Cajon and prostitutes are working outside. Even when you turn on El Cajon Boulevard from Park Boulevard, the oldest profession is in business.

I turn off on Wilson (35th and El Cajon) to go home, and more ladies of purchased affection.

I play tennis at the North Park Recreation Center on Idaho and Howard. The homeless are doing drug deals at the North Park park. You can’t take grandchildren, and families cannot go to the park because of a drunken bum under each tree.

The bums park their grocery carts (not theirs really) between the north wind screen of the tennis courts and the rec building, and children can’t get to the swings and slides because of the stoned street people.

As you can see, Hartley has not lived up to his campaign promises.
