Top-seeded Bob Seymour of Del Mar defeated Dick Green of Marina Del Rey, 6-1, 6-3, in the men’s 65 singles in the first round of the San Diego Super Senior Heart Tournament at Rancho Bernardo Inn. Second-seeded Stan Potts of San Diego also advanced by defeating Cecil Norwood, also of San Diego, 6-3, 6-2.

The tournament continues through Friday, with matches beginning at 9 a.m. each day.
