Houston Oiler quarterback Warren Moon was named offensive player of the year by the Associated Press.
Moon led the NFL in passing with 362 completions in 584 passes for 4,689 yards and 33 touchdowns. He threw for 527 yards against Kansas City, the second-most productive passing day in league history.
