Country music singers Randy Travis and Alan Jackson will make at least 60 concert appearances together this year.

Their first of about 40 concerts will be Feb. 8 in Huntsville, Ala., said Lib Hatcher, Travis’ manager. Their appearances will last through the fall.

“Alan reminds me very much of Randy in the early days,” Hatcher said. “The voice and music are there, as is the shyness that audiences find so appealing.” Travis, 31, has been singing since he was a teen-ager and has been a headliner for five years. Jackson, 32, had his first gold album last year.

Travis has sold more than 13 million albums and won more than 50 music awards in the last five years. His current hit record is “A Few Old Country Boys,” a duet with George Jones.

Jackson’s gold album was his debut LP, “Here in the Real World,” signifying sales of more than 500,000.
