After Jail, How Much More Can Baseball Take Away From Rose?
Pete Rose is currently paying his debt to society. He has paid back the IRS. He has lost millions in endorsements, thousands in pride and self-respect and millions more in embarrassment.
He has gone through hell with gasoline drawers, his life is a shambles, he’s probably broke, he’s now a convicted felon who can’t even vote, they have taken away his living, humbled him in every way and now we want to ban him from the Hall of Fame?
I think Pete Rose has paid his debt. Enough is enough. Leave the guy alone, and let the records speak for themselves.
