Cincinnati Bengals tackle Anthony Munoz was hospitalized in stable condition today after surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff.

Munoz, 32, tore the rotator cuff in his left shoulder in the second half of the season, and was limited in the Bengals’ last six games. Team doctor Robert Heidt Jr. operated Tuesday, and the surgery went as expected, according to a spokeswoman for Christ Hospital.

Munoz was named to the Pro Bowl for the 10th time this season. He injured the shoulder in December and missed at least part of every game the rest of the season.
