Ivy League Honor: Director Stephen Frears went back to school to accept the Dartmouth Film Award at Dartmouth University in Hanover, N.H. A special screening of Frears’ latest film, “The Grifters” (now at selected theaters in Los Angeles), was part of the Tuesday ceremony. Other films by Frears include “Dangerous Liaisons” and “Prick Up Your Ears.” The director joins the ranks of Dartmouth-honored Lillian Gish, Louis Malle, Robert Redford, Glenn Close and Ken Burns.
