Michelle and Al: Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer have been cast in a new comedy about a cook and a waitress who meet in a New York restaurant and begin a love affair. The Paramount Pictures film, “Frankie and Johnny,” is based on an award-winning off-Broadway play and will be produced and directed by Garry Marshall, who directed “Pretty Woman.” Terrence McNally adapted the screenplay from his play “Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.” Work on the project is set to begin Tuesday.
