Delvon Hardaway and Rayna Stewart of Chatsworth High have committed to four-year colleges, Chancellor football Coach Myron Gibford said Friday.

Hardaway, a 6-foot-1, 163-pound wide receiver, committed to Cal State Fullerton of the Big West Conference before the school announced Friday that it was releasing football players from their commitments. The Titan football program may be dropped because of funding problems.

Stewart, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound running back-defensive back, has committed to Northern Arizona, which plays football in Division 1-AA. The players can sign letters of intent Feb. 6, the first day of the winter signing period.

Hardaway, a Times All-Valley selection, last fall caught 33 passes for 697 yards and seven touchdowns, including one of 99 yards.

Hardaway still must score at least 700 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test to earn a scholarship in accordance with National Collegiate Athletic Assn. rules.

Stewart rushed for 551 yards in 102 carries and had two interceptions for Chatsworth, which posted a 2-8 record last fall.
