Gulf Talk: Public television station KCET Channel 28 continues its series on the Persian Gulf War with two upcoming “Bridging the Gulf” specials set for this week. “Bridging the Gulf: Media at War,” hosted by Joseph Benti, airs Tuesday at 9 p.m., and “Bridging the Gulf: Guns and Butter” will air Thursday at 8 p.m., hosted by Jim Ingell of public radio’s “Marketplace” and KCET’s Val Zavala. “Media at War” takes a look at media coverage of the war with in-studio discussions on the issue. “Guns and Butter” will look at the impact of the war on the Southern California economy. The “Bridging the Gulf” series will be determined and scheduled on a week-by-week basis depending on the status of the war in the Persian Gulf.
