Miller’s 32 Lead Titans to Victory
Senior center Genia Miller scored a game-high 32 points as Cal State Fullerton defeated New Mexico State, 76-65, in a Big West Conference women’s basketball game Monday in Las Cruces, N.M.
Miller was 14 of 21 from the field and made four of six free throws for Fullerton, which led, 37-29, at halftime.
Junior forward Claudette Jackson added 21 points for Fullerton. Miller and Jackson combined for 20 of the Titans’ 30 rebounds, each getting 10.
Heidi James had 12 points for Fullerton (15-4, 8-2 in conference), which made 16 of 31 shots from the field (51.6%).
Lynette Eggers scored 16 points, Rona Raven added 14 and Natasha Johnson had 11 for New Mexico State (9-9, 5-5), which shot only 35.7% from the field.
