Police on Thursday identified the six people who were wounded when a carload of men sprayed gunfire into a crowd of people outside an apartment complex.

Although most of the victims were shot several times in the Wednesday night incident, none was seriously wounded, Santa Ana Police spokeswoman Maureen Haacker said.

“We have not determined that (the shooting) is gang-related as of yet, but we’re not ruling that out,” Haacker said. “Our investigation is still in the early stage at this point.”

The group was standing outside an apartment complex at 2000 W. Myrtle St. on Wednesday about 8:30 p.m., police said, when a small blue car containing three to five men drove by. The men yelled epithets and opened fire.

“The car went down to the end of the street, turned around and made another pass, and (the passengers) continued to fire at the crowd,” Haacker said.

The car was later found abandoned several blocks away, in the 700 block of South Townsend Street, police said.

The wounded were taken to various hospitals for treatment, said Haacker, who identified them as: Angel Cuevas, 23, who suffered right forearm wound; Lorenzo Lopez, 26, shot in the back of the head, right thigh and left knee; Efriam Lopez, 28, head and left leg wounds; Prudencio Lopez, 28, elbow, forearm and right thigh wounds; Alejandro Lopez, 40, shot in the chest and both knees, and Patsy Barrigan, 30, grazed on the left side of her body.
