Rico Rowe came off the bench and scored all 10 of his points in the second half to lead Washington State past Stanford, 74-68, in a Pacific 10 Conference game Thursday night.

Terrence Lewis scored a game-high 21 points and Bennie Seltzer and Tyrone Maxey each scored 12 for Washington State, which improved its record to 14-6 overall and remained in second place in the Pac-10 at 6-4.

The Cougars were without their leading scorer, Neil Derrick, who was attending his grandmother’s funeral in Garland, Tex.

Adam Keefe scored 15 points for Stanford (12-9, 5-6).

Trailing, 37-24, at halftime, Stanford came back in the second half with a 15-5 run that pulled the Cardinal to within three points with 12:27 left.

Rowe then scored eight of Washington State’s next 10 points and Stanford did not get closer than six points.

California 67, Washington 46--The Golden Bears led from start to finish at Seattle and defeated the Huskies for the eighth time in nine games.

Sean Harrell scored 16 points for Cal (10-10, 6-5), which led by as many as 22 points in the second half.

Washington (12-8, 3-7) pulled to within 35-27 in the second half before Cal went on a 17-5 run.

Harrell, who made seven of 12 shots, started the run with a three-point shot and scored seven points during the surge.

Doug Meekins scored 22 points for Washington.
