Public Input Sought in Seashore Surveys

Share

The public will have an opportunity to participate in a long-term survey of local seashore populations Feb. 23-26.

“Peninsula Shorewatch,” a joint project of Cabrillo Marine Museum and Cal State Long Beach, has charted annual population changes of abalone, sea urchins and other shoreline animals of the Palos Verdes Peninsula since 1975.

The study has been expanded to allow the public to assist in surveying the impact of human and natural climatic changes on the shoreline communities.
