Crashers Suspected in Stabbing Death

Homicide detectives are investigating the slaying of a 22-year-old San Diego man who was stabbed to death Friday when a birthday party in the Mira Mesa area turned violent, authorities say.
Gerald Moriarty, a student at Mira Mesa College, was pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m. at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
San Diego police said his attacker is suspected to be one of a number of men who crashed the party, which was being held in a residence in the 8600 block of Gold Coast Drive.
