Now the Times Orange County Poll (B1) finds that 18% of all city residents age 18 or over call themselves active surfers. The pollster who did the survey calls the finding--what else--”awesome.” The head of the international surfing museum downtown says life’s a beach when the beach faces south and you have “a wonderful pier to shoot and consistently good waves.”
