Kangaroos Beat U.S. International

Balanced scoring by Missouri-Kansas City overcame a 44-point effort from Kevin Bradshaw, the nation’s leading scorer, as the Kangaroos defeated U.S. International 95-83 in a college basketball game Monday night.

The Gulls (2-23) got 30 points from Bradshaw in the first half. But he sat out two minutes in the second half after a hard fall and another two minutes after picking up his fourth foul with 8:44 left in the game.

Bradshaw, who is averaging 37.7 points a game, made 16 of 39 shots, including three three-pointers.

Mike Sterner grabbed 12 rebounds to add to his 10 points and Isaac Brown added 14 points for the Gulls.

The teams were tied seven times and exchanged the lead four times in the first half before Joe Seabrooks put the Kangaroos in front for good at 31-29 with 6:01 left in the half. Missouri-Kansas City had its biggest lead at 84-62 with 7:08 left in the game.

Tony Dumas, with 26 points, led five players in double figures for Missouri-Kansas City (13-13).
