Germany’s first budget since unification last October will amount to more than $265 billion, including more than $7 billion for the Persian Gulf War, Bonn officials said.

Irvine-based Burlington Air Express, a worldwide cargo express company, will begin a short-term supplemental lift program between its Ft. Wayne, Ind., hub and the United Kingdom because of the crisis in the Middle East.
