Countywide : TOXIC DISCHARGES
Under the state Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, Ventura County must report each week the toxic and potentially toxic materials discharged. The discharges are investigated by the county Environmental Health Division.

* Officials said the hydrazine was diluted with water to eight parts per million to be used as a boiler cleaner at the Edison plant at Ormond Beach. This dilution posed no real threat to health or the environment, they said.
