1 Youth Wounded, 1 Killed in Shooting

A 16-year-old boy was killed and another youth was seriously wounded in a shooting at a National City bowling alley parking lot, police said Saturday.

Officers responded to a call at 8:20 p.m. Friday and found two wounded teen-agers inside a car in the parking lot of the Plaza Bowl, 1201 East Plaza Blvd.

Marvin Percell Vair, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other youth, who was shot in the head, was transported to UCSD Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

Police said no arrests have been made and they don’t know if the shooting was gang-related.
